Wily West Productions embarks on its second production, bringing to San Francisco an Amazon adventure love story!Fresh from the controversy of Prop 8 comes this fantasy about an island where women marry women, and men marry men. By law and custom, the sexes are forbidden to intermingle—except on a single night of the year when all fertile men and women must join in the frenzied sacred rites of Beltane! Drawn by a force she does not understand, the Amazon girl Maidrid secretly befriends Fars, a boy from across the river. Soon the couple is hunted in a battle of the sexes that threatens the foundation of their society.

"Amazing show! Thoroughly enjoyed it... first class actors! Really a great time, I highly recommend it to all." --Adam Underhill, Facebook
Nate Levine as Avar
"This play covered territory that is near and dear to my heart: The battle of the sexes, patriarchal versus matriarchal values, and the effect of spirituality on societies. It had witty comedy, highly affecting drama, outstanding costuming, and spot-on performances by the actors." --Goldstar Member
"Lot's of fun. Costumer and set designer should each win an award. Their work is the best I've seen at a small theater in a very long time. Good acting, writing, direction, and fight choreography." -DH, Goldstar Member
